How to upgrade PointerFocus from earlier version?

To upgrade PointerFocus just follow the steps.

  • 1. Download the latest version.
  • 2. Exit PointerFocus if it's running
  • 3. Uninstall the old version, if the installed directory still exists just delete it (if there are user defined files in the directory just move them out).
  • 4. Install the new version.



I use two or more monitors, PointerFocus seems doesn't work with that.

All PointerFocus functions support two monitors. Some functions may work on more than two monitors.
If some PointerFocus functions don't work properly, please try to set the Scale Factor of your monitors to the same value ( like both 100% or 125%) in Windows Display Options. You can right click on your desktop then select "Display Settings".



Can I install one license on multiple computers?

The license is based on user.
You can install one license on 3 computers.



I use OBS with PointerFocus. But can't see the PointerFocus effects in the recorded video.

Please try to add "Display Capture" in the OBS sources.



I use Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet with PointerFocus. But other people can't see PointerFocus effects.

  • In Zoom you need to share the whole screen (Desktop) instead of the specific window or program.
  • In Microsoft Teams you need to share the Desktop instead of Window or PowerPoint.
  • In Google Meet you need to present the whole screen instead of just a tab.



How to uninstall PointerFocus.

You can run "unins000.exe" in the installed directory to uninstall the software.
The installed directory may like: "C:\Program Files\PointerFocus".
If you have user defined files in this directory, please backup these files.
